Different Types of Herbs: Evergreen herbs-Most Beneficial
August 15, 2009
There are wide ranges of herbs which are planted all over the world and sometimes it becomes very much difficult to choose the best variety for the specific garden. The main thing to understand is that each type of herb has some of its special temperaments and needs. Basically, the herbs are categorized in 3 basic categories: annual, evergreen and herbaceous.

1. The herbaceous herbs are classified under the category of the perennial. This means that these herbs die in winter season and they reappear again in the spring time. Some of the examples of these kinds of herbs are winter savory, chives, mint, bee balm and oregano.
2. Evergreen herbs are also classified under the category of the perennial. When these herbs are not harvested in continuous manner, these herbs need regular pruning. Some of the examples of the evergreen herbs are the thyme, rosemary and sage. Never cut down these herbs too much because this affects the growth of the plant.
3. Annual herbs are the herbs which diet at the end of every season and they are replanted at the end of the year. Some of the common examples of the annual herbs are the chervil, dill, parsley, cilantro and basil.
